This is my work in progress. I chose to use a merino wool DK instead of Aran/Worsted weight. I wanted a shawl that could be worn on cool mornings and/or nights all year long.

Materials:

3 Hanks of 100% Mernio Wool DK

Size H hook

About a decade ago I discovered wool yarn. I am in love with how easy wool yarns are to use, the crispness of each stitch, the beauty, and how a wool garment will last a lifetime if taken care of properly unlike acrylic yarns. I will never go back to acrylic after using wool yarns. There is simply no comparison to quality and durability.

Late Summer Nights Poncho

Another work in progress using 100% Merino Yarn in a DK. Love this color combo--Many combinations found here.

Material:

4 hanks in 3 colorways: 2 multicolored brown, 1 variegated, & 1 actec gold.

Best Results For Your Project

Choose high quality yarn--why spend hours and hours crocheting to have a mediocre looking project? Quality counts. High quality yarns are expensive but if looking for a beautiful long lasting item--always choose quality.

  • Purchase enough yarn in the same dye lot to finish your project. Same color but different dye lots can vary quite a bit.

  • Hand wash finished project in cool water

  • Some projects need to be shaped/blocked--link here for tips on blocking

  • Allow to dry at room air (do NOT place in the sun to dry)

Conclusion:

Crochet is a unique and creative art form that allows you to make something beautiful and fulfill your crafty ambitions.
